Mayor Ada Colau has announced new plans to offer tourist apartments to vulnerable families whose current accommodation does not meet conditions to endure confinement. Further housing measures are focussed on helping homeless people through the crisis.

The first measure is to have 200 tourist apartments to accommodate vulnerable families whose homes do not meet the conditions to endure confinement. The second is to accommodate one pavilion of Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc for homeless people and emergencies, which can initially accommodate 150 people. And the third, to reinforce the equipment for the homeless with three new centres.
