The nine Health Centers that had their hours extended have attended, since January 1st, 23,654 people. The sites are reference units for patients with mild respiratory symptoms. The strategy implemented by the Municipality of Belo Horizonte aims to guarantee assistance to the population. It is open on weekdays from 7 am to 10:30 pm and on weekends and holidays from 7 am to 10 pm. Care is preferably provided to patients with mild to moderate respiratory symptoms, such as cough, runny nose, fever, body pain and general malaise. It is important to remember that there is no application of COVID-19 vaccine in these places.
Pediatric consultations at Health Centers with extended hours are held from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm. After this time and on weekends and holidays, consultations are carried out in the Emergency Care Units.
The UPAs remain with normal operation, every day, 24 hours. The guideline is that these sites should be sought by patients with more serious cases, such as a fall with sprain or fracture, severe chest pain, constant vomiting, abdominal pain, heavy bleeding and other more complex clinical complaints.
