Since January 1, the nine Health Centers that had their opening hours extended, as a way to guarantee assistance to the population, assisted 37,308 patients with mild respiratory symptoms. The operation of these units with extended hours is from 7 am to 10: 30 pm during the week and from 7 am to 10 pm on weekends and holidays.

The strategy aims to unburden the Emergency Care Units, providing the population with more access to medical care. There is no application of vaccine against Covid-19 in these facilities. The care is preferably for patients with mild and moderate respiratory symptoms (cough, runny nose, fever, body pain, general malaise).

Pediatric cases in Health Centers with extended hours are held from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm. After this time and on weekends and holidays, pediatric care will be carried out in the Emergency Care Units.

The Emergency Care Units remain serving normally, every day, 24 hours. The guidance is that they should be sought for more severe cases, such as fall with twist or fracture, severe chest pain, constant vomiting, abdominal pain, heavy bleeding and other more complex clinical complaints.
