The second edition of the vacation course promoted by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums of Brazil (AZAB), bringing together 24 institutions of environmental conservation, including the Zoo of Belo Horizonte, starts this Monday, July 12. The idea arose from the need, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, to keep reinforcing one of the main pillars of modern zoos and aquariums: environmental education for all.
Entitled “Conservation Institutions United for Education” and, this year under the theme “I agree”, it is a 100% free and online program, which and will be held from July 12th to August 1st. This edition will be focusing on endangered species included in the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between AZAB and the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), in 2018.
